This is how I found Irelyn eating her lunch the other day. Still in her jammies lounging on the couch. Sadly, I was probably still in my jammies too...

Generosity

Irelyn received the most generous hand me downs a few weeks ago. Lindsey (a girl on George's soccer team- we have known her since she was 10 and she is now 16) gave Irelyn a HUGE amount of toys, clothes, dress up stuff, a Barbie jeep and art supplies. The whole back of George's truck was filled! Irelyn has been in heaven playing with all of her new stuff. Where did we put it all? Well....who needs a living room or dining room anyways?

Dinner tonight

I have leftover mashed potatoes from Easter dinner so this what I am making tonight:
I'm going to thin out the mashed potatoes with chicken broth. And then add blanched brocolli, steamed carrots, already cooked and shredded chicken and...
Voila! Yummy soup!

So much to say...

I have so much to catch up on again- I will get to spring break in a minute. But first...some super exciting news. Exciting for George and his Club, the kids, and everyone that gets to be involved with this amazing woman.

Easter events

Today we went to 2 Easter Egg Hunt events. The first- was just so-so. Irelyn wanted her face painted as a cat so we stood in line for 30 minutes and this is how she turned out.
Totally cute! I know! But she was upset about the fangs(you wouldn't know it by this picture) so it had to be washed off. And as for the egg hunt- she wouldn't even do it. She didn't want to go in by herself.
The next event- at Irelyn's gymnastics place. 2 hours long, play time, crafts, and a huge egg hunt. Irelyn was one of 5 people that found more than 15 eggs so she got a special prize. Then they had a coloring contest and she won 2nd place! She received a super soft stuffed bunny...right up her alley :)

I had to take this with my phone so it is really bad. I just had to remember her jumping off into the pit over and over...

A great find

These are my favorite suits for kids. They are comfy and fit well, have SPF, and come in so many different colors and designs. I love the skirt bottoms because they cover enough for little girls. The one piece is great for swim class.

playing catch up...

Things have been crazy here the past few weeks. We have been spending tons of time helping my mom after her surgery, George has been traveling, and I have had extra stuff that needed to be done for work. The end of March was tough and I'm so glad that April is here. We are on Spring Break!!! But here are some pictures after my mom's surgery.
