Irelyn has been anticipating her 5th birthday for months now. And yesterday she finally turned 5! Irelyn keeps telling us things you can do when you are 5 and things that you don't do. 5 is such a great age!
When you are 5 you don't whine when you are hungry, you get to lose a tooth, you already know stuff even when people try to help you learn it, and you are not old enough to go on Matterhorn. That's about it for now. I'm sure she will come up with others though :)

I'm almost laughing just looking at this picture!! 7 years has flown by... and so much has happened. We were married 7 years ago at Mount of Olives church. We wanted to get married the 2nd of March but had several people that could not come from out of town that day. (Those of you that know us well know the significance of the 2nd.) The 9th is just as good though- and some years we even celebrate both days :)
I can't wait to see what the next 7 years hold. Happy Anniversary George :-*
This birthday week came and went... It was fun though and I must say one of the best birthdays I can remember. Not for any specific reason just the fact that I spent it with the people I love and I was truly happy. George and I went out on Monday night for dinner and stuff. George gave me a beautiful ring which was a total surprise. On Wednesday, my actual birthday, I woke up to a really nice breakfast but quickly had to head to work. The kids in my class each made me a card, gave me flowers and sang Happy Birthday to me as soon as they came into class. One of the funniest cards said " I love you my little huggy buggy!" Ha! We then headed to Disneyland, rode a few rides and got my Disney money card, and then off to my parents house for dinner. Mom makes super yummy tacos!! And DELICIOUS strawberry shortcake :)
31 and happy :)One of the highlights of the year- The Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance! Irelyn has been waiting for this since last year. When Friday arrived, she was so excited she could hardly stand it. The dance wasn't until 6:30 so they day lasted forever! You can see how happy she was it was finally time to go. She came home with an even bigger smile and told me how they did the limbo, the hokey pokey and she showed me a bunch of twisty dance moves. They had a wonderful time :)
Irelyn just loves Pumpkin Kitty. She adores stuffed animals in general, but for some reason she usually brings Pumpkin Kitty wherever we go.
My niece had the cutest princess party for her 5th birthday. The girls had so much fun doing all of the activities that Aunt Julie planned. Irelyn especially had fun with her favorite cat CeeCee. If anyone has a cat, Irelyn would love to cuddle it. Becky- I'll be in touch :)
George and I have known each other for almost 15 years and have been together for 13 of them. We've celebrated many birthdays and have both changed a lot over the years. This year has been great and I'm so happy to have a wonderful husband that I love so much.
